Mama and Anders

Here is a picture of Anders and I at Roar's cabin. It was hot there!

The snowmachine purchase

Found this picture, just days before we left AK with the must have purchase of a snowmachine. I will keep you posted if it gets used during the winter.

Working in the sawdust

Here are the boys working in the saw dust pile. They were hoping that Frode would finish the sandbox before he left, but I think that this will have to do. Marius wants to buy his own real backhoe to work on the foundation. Haakon just wants another tractor that is big, something bigger than all of the neighbors.

Anders bathing

Here is another picture of Anders since we missed him in the last update. We were at Roar's cabin this past weekend and had a great time. It was Sigur's 5th birthday and all of the cousins were together

Look! No training wheels

Here is Haakon riding a bike and no training wheels! He is very stoked to be riding like a big boy.

Anders at the lake

Here is Anders! He really loves the water!

Bathing in Snasavatnet

It has been really warm here. Sorry for all of you in AK. We went to a lake yesterday that is about 90 miles biking all the way around it. Where we were yesterday was really shallow and great for the boys.

Roasting HotDogs

I know, I am sure that you are all shocked that my kids are eating hot dogs. It is now their favorite food. I think that they would have it for lunch and dinner if they could.

OK - I think that I am getting this

Here is another picture. The proud fisherperson

The fishermen

The boys went fishing just up the road from where we live. I was able to run up there and run on a trail that is around the lake. It was great for me and a great adventure for them.

Boys July Fishing Trip

Here is a little proof of the two boys first fishing trip. I have to say that I am a little sorry that I missed all of the excitement, but I really enjoyed the run. Thank goodness Haakon caught a fish as Marius was the first one to land one of those monsters. Trying to explain to a five year old that not everyone catches a fish and not everyone knows that he should be first over his brothers. Yikes is all that I have to say.

July in Norge

We arrived in Norway in May and we are finally starting to get settled in. We moved into our house less than two weeks ago. When Frode isn't working at his job or working on the farm, he is painting like a mad artist. Our house is a little out of date to say the least. Paint works miracles. We are looking at doing some minor remodeling this month, but we are doing it as funds allow.
We had our first AK visitors, Marilyn and Doug Watts came and stayed with us at the Lillefjell's house and assisted with the painting project on our house. It was great to see them and it was a miracle that they found us with the limited directions that they had before they left AK.
On the AK front, our house is rented out. Construction is in in final stages on the house. Things are getting fairly wrapped up. This has occupied my time while I have been here.
The boys love farm life. Haakon loves working with Farfar. He went out on the job with farfar looking at a sheep that had been killed, he has been planting trees, helping with grass cutting, riding in the tractor and he seems particularly fond of having an ice cream cone at the end of everyday. Thank goodness he has Frode's metabolism. Marius hasn't been able to do quite as much as he is just 3. We have finally got him potty trained which seemed like it wasn't going to happen at times. Anders has two teeth, he loves Norwegian food, he is starting to move more, he loves to sit out in the yard and play in the grass.
